February 17th

We got through Phoenix and into Mesa. It is all one big city sprawl made up of  hundreds of neighborhoods.   Lots of retirees and many communities restricting residents to 55 and older. Today we finally got back to the mountains.

I took this picture to illustrate how green the desert can look in the wintertime. It fascinated me.

Another shot of green stuff.

And another one but this time with a cactus.

This is Gonzales Pass, about a 2,650 foot climb.

Here's the view going down the other side.

Then I finally got to Superior, AZ.

Jeanne decided to take a shot of me when I arrived.

Tomorrow we get to go through a tunnel and over a 4,000 foot peak.
Keep praying.
Thanks.
